KULENI GAME PARK is a destination in itself, and some owners or visitors may choose to just relax at their lodge, taking in the peace and surroundings that the park offers. Game often frequents the lodges and the lodge deck’s prove perfect platforms to view the bird activity.
Self-guided walking trails offer an excellent way to get up close to the game. Nametags help in the identification of the many species of trees.
To limit noise and wear and tear on the property, quad bikes, bicycles and driving through the property other than to the lodge is not permitted. |

iSimangaliso Wetland Park (formally known as Greater St Lucia Wetland Park)
The iSimangaliso Wetland Park was listed as South Africa’s first World Heritage Site in December 1999 in recognition of its unique global values. No other place has comparable ecological processes or the superlative natural beauty and biodiversity of iSimangaliso.
The 332 000 hectare Park contains 3 major lake systems, 8 interlinking ecosystems, 700 year old fishing traditions, most of South Africa’s remaining swamp forests, Africa’s largest estuarine system, 526 bird species and 25 000 year old coastal dunes – amongst the highest in the world. |

Game drives into Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park and uMkhuze Game Reserve
Experience the scenic beauty and wildlife of the 2 nearby parks in an open game vehicle. Hluhluwe iMfolozi is a Big 5 game reserve and is the oldest registered in Africa and is arguably the most scenic in South Africa. It is also world famous for saving the white rhino from extinction. uMkhuze is a bird lovers’ paradise with more than 420 species.
3-hour, 6-hour or all day game drives are available.

Diving & Snorkeling
With its many exciting coral reefs and outstanding climate, Sodwana Bay has distinguished itself as one of the premier sport diving destinations in the world. Excellent snorkeling opportunities are to be enjoyed as well. Cape Vidal is set in a sheltered bay with expansive beaches – also great for snorkeling in the shallow pools.

Boat trips on Lake St Lucia Estuary
Lake St Lucia is 80kms long and 23kms wide at its widest point. Home to over 800 hippos and 1 200 crocodiles and hosts large flocks of pelicans, flamingos, ducks, waders, and a variety of fish and other aquatic species.
Enjoy a boat cruise from St Lucia, taking in part of the estuary system. Day excursions can be arranged or guests may choose to self-drive.

Whale Tours (Seasonal – June to November)
From St Lucia, take a boat trip and get close to a variety of marine mammals including southern right whale, minke whale, brydes whale, orca whale and a variety of dolphins.
Turtle Tours (Seasonal – November to March)
Night trips to watch the Leatherback and Loggerhead turtles laying their eggs on the shorelines. Operates out from St Lucia or Kosi Bay. The trips involve walks along the beaches, little sleep but well worth it!
